Mr. Davinder Lathar (CEO, Director, Shareholder)

Mr. Davinder Lathar (CEO, Director, Shareholder) Mr. Davinder Lathar is a High Net Worth individual, with a net worth close to CAD$ 6 million. Mr. Lathar has been self-employed since the year 2000, and has owned and managed farming and other businesses throughout his career, besides a health and fitness business. Born and brought up in a family of farm-owners and operators, fifth generation in farming business, Mr. Lathar is extremely passionate towards the field and has been involved hands-on in his farming ventures in the last 2 decades. A production engineer by education and having the mind of an avid agro-entrepreneur, Mr. Lathar has a unique skill set which combines traditional farming values, superior technical know-how, and an entrepreneurial bent of mind. He is a keen follower of the Kaizen philosophy in Business i.e. Continuous Improvement. He recognizes what he does best, which is why has invested in a farming business venture as Canadian Nature Roots Ltd.

  • As a Certified Seed Grower for grains and popular tree nurseries, he believes that it is the most obvious next step for the company to have its own nursery. It has been estimated that having company owned nursery, would reduce seed cost to 50-60% of the costs incurred currently by CNR.
  • Another extremely imperative and urgent transformation that Mr. Lathar is geared to make is with respect to having farm implements (equipment used) customised, for clearing up and development of barren land.
  • In his farming operation in India, with his production engineering knowledge, he customised implements, which were existing/available in the market to optimize the clearing process. This new customised product created is patent pending in India as of this date.
  • He has a proven record of improvising and reclaiming 20 acres of barren land in Karnal, Haryana, India, now yielding bountiful crops.

Mr. Pardeep Khubar (COO, Director, Shareholder)

Also with a strong background in agriculture, and years of experience in farm operations and management, Mr. Pardeep Khubar has been the overall in-person in charge of the business. Mr. Khubar is a Canadian citizen and has been the one responsible for the overall supervision, administration, managing approvals, licensing, managing payrolls, and other administrative work on behalf of the company.

He is also currently responsible for the farming operations so far, being the only one among the directors to be present physically in Canada, and is also responsible for identifying areas of improvement/ development of the farm, cost control, procurements etc., and propose to the other director and shareholders for building strategy in the short and long term.

Mr. Khubar is also a trained mechanical and IT professional, hence also brings technical know-how and experience to the table. Prior to moving to PEI he was running a business in Montreal. Mr. Pardeep held the position of President and CEO in the company previously, and upon the share transfer, Mr. Lathar is now the current CEO. Mr. Pardeep now holds the title of COO (Chief Operations officer)

Mr. Bhupinder Singh (Chairman, Director, Shareholder)

An illustrious career spanning more than three decades, Mr. Bhupinder Singh is dubbed the true “Son of the Soil”- an electronics and telecommunication engineer by training, a successful streak of business and enterprise experience in agriculture, real estate, telecommunications, Research and Education. Mr. Bhupinder Singh is also a philanthropist. He is very well respected and has advised as a consultant State Government(s) in India. He resides in California, USA. A recipient of many awards and accolades, family oriented individual and a real benefactor across nations, he takes pride in specialized field of reclamation of barren land, vision for the successful extensive plantation of rotational cash crops, fruits, vegetables including researching on topline hybrid varieties etc.

Mr. Singh is deeply invested and promises to change the landscape of Montague, PEI as envisioned in his blueprint for next five years of CNR.
